NSF certified lubricants to meet strict regulations

One of the main challenges in the pharmaceutical industry is keeping productive machinery clean to pass strict audits and at the same time lubricated to prevent seizing up or premature wear. Quite a challenge, resulting in frequent cleaning and sometimes even not lubricated to prevent this.

Read more about Interflon’s NSF-H1 certified products with MicPol® technology to get an answer on how to keep your machines well lubricated, beating the environmental ‘enemies’ such as water and powder dust and at the same meeting regulatory requirements.

Some applications in Pharmaceutics

Tablet pressing machines

Keeping the punches and dies clean is a concern for every operator. It’s a thin line between having them well lubricated, mostly with grease because oil would drip easily on the product, and to prevent them from seizing up and wearing out and clean and smoothly running at the same time. The powder of the tablet sticks to the lubricant creating an abrasive paste. Some of your colleagues even chose to not lubricate them to avoid downtime for cleaning and accept premature wear.

With Interflon Food Lube you provide your punches and dies with a dry lubrication coating. Not only generating the lowest friction due to our MicPol® technology, but also avoiding powder sticking to the punches and dies.

Meeting the strict regulations for pharma plants

All aspects of pharmaceutical production, including packaging, are tightly controlled and have regulatory requirements. Uniformity, cleanliness, sterility, and other requirements are needed to maintain Good Manufacturing Practices. Product safety management is vital. Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) is a methodology which has been proven useful.

Interflon’s NSF-H1 certified products and our methodology of ‘less is more’, possible thanks to our MicPol® technology, assures 100% compliance with HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
