Dry-film, food-grade lubricating oil spray

Interflon
Food Lube (aerosol)

A convenient dry-film oil spray fortified with MicPol® . This highly versatile lubricant is developed for use in food processing environments, and is suitable for general machine components, cables, and chain applications. It helps streamline maintenance routines, extend service intervals, and reduce the variety of lubricants in use.

Interflon Food Lube aerosol is applied wet to displace moisture, dissolve residues, and penetrate hard-to-reach components. It frees seized parts and protects against rust and corrosion. It forms a dry, clean, long-lasting lubrication film that doesn’t attract dust, dirt, or other contaminants, and withstands high-pressure and water wash-off.

NSF H1, NSF 537 and NSF 538 certified, this food-grade lubricant is safe for use in areas where incidental food contact may occur.

All about food-grade lubricants

Key benefits

  • Outstanding corrosion and wear protection under pressure
  • Excellent resistance to water spray and washout
  • Does not attract dirt, dust, or other debris
  • Prevents rust and corrosion formation
  • Reliable performance under dry run conditions
  • PFAS-free

The aerosol format offers clean, precise application without waste, making it ideal for hard-to-reach or delicate areas. It ensures a controlled spray that reduces the risk of cross-contamination and eliminates the need for bulk application tools.

Product application areas

Ideal for lubricating:

  • Chains, cables, sliding guides, joints, and conveyors
  • Pneumatic tools, pulleys, cams, belts, and rollers
  • Threaded parts, bolts, valves, taps, and lifts
  • Electrical contacts and components in food-safe areas

Also suitable for use on general machinery in food processing facilities. An excellent choice for servicing electrical systems where corrosion protection is essential.

Frequently Asked Questions

A lubricant that stays wet and oily on chains and conveyors can collect dust, dirt and other particles from the environment. Interflon Food Lube (aerosol) is a food-grade dry-film lubricant: it goes on wet and penetrates, then forms a dry lubrication film that does not attract dust, dirt or other abrasives. The film is fortified with MicPol® technology for long-lasting lubrication. Clean the parts first with a solvent or alkaline cleaning agent, spray a thin layer and wipe off the excess with a clean cloth. A thin layer with occasional re-lubrication works better than a thick layer.

How do I free seized parts and prevent rust on food processing machinery?

Moisture can cause corrosion, and deposits can cause moving parts to stick. Interflon Food Lube (aerosol) goes on wet, displaces moisture, breaks down deposits, penetrates hard-to-reach components and helps free seized parts. It also protects against rust and corrosion. Shake the can, spray from a vertical position (upright or upside down) and allow the lubricant to penetrate. Parts that remain stuck or show damage may need mechanical inspection or repair.

Using fewer different lubricants can simplify maintenance routines. Interflon Food Lube (aerosol) is a highly versatile, food-grade dry-film lubricant for a wide range of general machine parts, cables and chains in food processing environments. It is formulated to help streamline maintenance routines, extend service intervals and reduce the variety of lubricants in use. Whether it can replace a specific product depends on the application and operating conditions.

A spray suits manual, targeted lubrication. Interflon Food Lube (aerosol) gives clean, precise application without waste, which makes it well suited to hard-to-reach or delicate areas. The controlled spray reduces the risk of cross-contamination and removes the need for bulk application tools. For (slat) conveyors and chains lubricated through a central lubrication system, Interflon Food Lube AL is a dry-film food-grade lubricant designed for that purpose.
