Frequently Asked Questions
Interflon Degreaser EM30+ (aerosol) is a very strong cold degreaser with F-Active Technology, developed for parts heavily soiled with oil, grease, dirt and paint residues, such as chains, motors and slides. Spray a thin layer onto the part and leave it to act for a few minutes before wiping the dirt away. The spray can affect rubber and elastomers, so on chains with rubber seals, such as O-rings, test it on a small area first. At a soap manufacturer without a cleaning routine, stubborn deposits on chains and gears had restricted chain movement. After cleaning with the spray, the chains moved smoothly again.

A degreaser that evaporates quickly can dry before thick grease or glue residue has dissolved. Interflon Degreaser EM30+ (aerosol) evaporates slowly by design, so it has enough time to dissolve the dirt. Its evaporation speed is 15 (ether = 1). After cleaning, it evaporates without leaving residues behind. In a published case, it removed resin and hardened residues from mild steel component that a conventional solvent had left behind.
The Interflon Degreaser EM30+ (aerosol) is listed by NSF for use in the food industry as a degreaser, adhesive and glue remover (NSF K1 and K3), and it is suitable for use in HACCP environments. Before cleaning, remove or cover all food products and packaging materials. After use, wash all surfaces with a detergent solution and rinse them with potable water. Its technical data sheet also lists it as Halal and Kosher.

Interflon Degreaser EM30+ (aerosol) should not be applied to hot surfaces, and its highest application temperature is 30 °C. Do not use it, or let it dry, in direct sunlight. It is a very strong cleaner that can affect rubbers, elastomers and plastics, so test it on a small, inconspicuous area first. It is also an extremely flammable aerosol: keep it away from heat and ignition sources, and use it only in well-ventilated areas. For other cleaning tasks, see the full Interflon cleaners range.
Interflon Degreaser EM30+ (aerosol) has a shelf life of two years in its original, unopened packaging. Store it in a cool, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight, above 0 °C and never above 50 °C. The production date is in the 8-digit batch number: the first four digits give the year and month (YY/MM).
Interflon Degreaser EM30+ (aerosol) is free from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including PTFE. This applies to all batch numbers, as confirmed in the Interflon PFAS statement.
