OLE support and registration equipment
The conductor is held by an insulator, which is held in place by several clamps attached to the registration arms. These clamps allow the copper wire to expand and contract freely due to thermal changes. The clamps are greased to facilitate this movement.
Maintaining these clamps can be time-consuming, as it requires breaking them open with tools to access the back of the bolt for re-greasing.
Interflon Grease OG aerosol has revolutionized maintenance practices for many rail infrastructure owners/developers, such as Network Rail. It eliminates the need to open the clamps during maintenance. Instead, you can simply spray the liquid grease into the joint along the gaps. The grease will then penetrate the clamp and thicken.
Interflon Grease OG also has excellent waterproofing properties and is widely used to protect steel surfaces from corrosion. It leaves a transparent but dry protective layer on the exposed surface that can last for many years.
