Counterbalances
The contact and catenary conductors are independently tensioned to accommodate seasonal temperature changes. If the counterbalances cannot move freely, the conductors can sag, and the train pantograph can catastrophically bring down the conductors and head span structures. This will operate the Automatic Disconnection Device, strand the train, and cause significant delays and costs to reinstall the OLE equipment.
Interflon Grease OG can withstand high loads, even when machinery is at a standstill. It is easy and quick to apply using an aerosol, and it dries off to repel airborne contaminants. Use Interflon Lube TF (aerosol) to unseize any corroded mechanism prior to lubricating and protecting it with Interflon Grease OG.
