Compressor in the printing industry

Initial situation

The compressor at this company operates continuously for 24 hours a day. When there is a high demand for compressed air, the compressor experiences heavy loads and becomes overheated. Previously, the oil used in the compressor was changed every 500 operating hours, requiring a 2-hour shutdown of production.

Our solution

To address these challenges, we introduced Interflon Finnoly Additive NT500, a friction-reducing gear oil additive. This additive was mixed with the conventional oil.

Result

By adding 5% of Interflon Finnoly Additive NT500 to the oil in use, the compressor now operates smoothly and experiences significantly reduced oil loss. This allowed the company to extend the oil change interval to 2.000 operating hours. As a result total savings of € 25.668,- were achieved.
