Temperature drop of 25˚C in hydraulic systems

Hydraulic oil enrichment in the CNC Chiron system

Hydraulic systems are essential components of many machines and equipment. They use pressurized hydraulic fluid to transmit power and motion. However, hydraulic systems can generate a lot of heat, especially when used intensively. This heat can shorten the lifespan of hydraulic components and lead to other problems.

Initial situation

The customer uses a Chiron CNC system. Due to the intense use of the machines, in a 24/7 regime, the hydraulic system is used directly proportional to the machine load. As a result, the distribution group reached a temperature of 118˚C. This was causing the hydraulic oil to degrade more quickly and increased the risk of component failure.

Our solution

We recommended Interflon Finnoly Additive N251-H, a product designed to reduce hydraulic oil temperature and improve performance. The customer added the additive to the hydraulic oil reservoir and monitored the temperature using a thermal imaging camera.

Result

Within a short period of time, the temperature of the hydraulic oil dropped by 25˚C. This significant drop in temperature is expected to lead to the following benefits:

  • Reduced oil leakage
  • Delayed oil wear
  • Increased service life of hydraulic system components
  • Reduced energy consumption
  • Fewer interventions

Interflon Finnoly Additive N251-H is an effective way to reduce hydraulic oil temperature and improve the performance and lifespan of hydraulic systems. It is a cost-effective solution that can be easily implemented by any maintenance team.
