Initial situation
The compressor operates 24 hours a day. If the demand for compressed air is high, the compressor is heavily loaded and runs hot. The oil was changed every 500 operating hours. Each oil change required production to be shut down for 2 hours.
Our solution
The friction-reducing gear oil additive Interflon Finnoly Additive NT500 was used. This oil is mixed with the conventional oil and even sealed small leaks.
Result
Adding 5% Interflon Finnoly Additive NT500 to the oil in use results in the compressor running smoothly and losing much less oil. The interval between oil changes was extended to 2,000 operating hours. A total of €25,668 was saved.
