Drum variator needle bearings of New Holland combine harvesters

Initial situation

Wear and tear on the needle bearing on the drum variator of the TX and CX combine harvesters by New Holland. Bearing damage after 30 operating hours.

Our solution

Since using Interflon Grease MP2/3 however, wear and tear only sets in after one and a half to two years. All others types of grease dripped out of the bearing due to the temperature. No bearing damage during harvest time.

Result

Before using Interflon Grease MP2/3, the drum variator disc bearing had to be changed up to three times a year. Labour and material costs amount to €3,500 to €4,000 per breakdown and repair.

Costs saved over two years with no breakdown = €11,500. Grease consumption is reduced by five times.
