Interflon IceGuard® is a coating and lubricant designed specifically for overhead line equipment in railway systems. Application method
Interflon IceGuard should preferably be applied using the Interflon IceGuard machine, a container-like structure mounted on trains with a telescopic arm that automatically sprays the lubricant at speeds of 50-60 km/h. This ensures a homogeneous, thin layer on catenary wires, making ice and frost easier to remove by pantographs.
