Cost savings thanks to extended service life
Initial situation
A gearbox on the packaging machine had become blocked due to pasty oil, preventing proper functioning of the arm. Despite testing various conventional gear oils, no solution was found, resulting in a halt of the machine's operation for six months. This led to work overload on the other production lines, and one operator per team had to manually carry out the packaging work for two hours. The plan was to replace the gearbox.
Our solution
Our proposed solution was Interflon Food Lube G220 with MicPol® technology.
Result
The gearbox was saved and plans to replace it could be cancelled. Production resumed without any further overload or need for manual operations. The company achieved considerable cost savings.

- Manual packaging operations: 2 hours of labour per team, 3 teams per day, for 6 months with a total cost of € 37.800,-
