Dutch innovation sets the new standard in lubrication technology

Interflon introduces innovative PFAS-free lubricants, helping companies comply with regulations

Interflon introduces PFAS-free lubricants based on the next generation MicPol® technology. PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) are synthetic chemicals used in industrial and consumer applications. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as Teflon, is one of the most well-known PFAS and widely used in industrial lubricants. However, the persistence of PFAS, including PTFE, has raised serious environmental and health concerns, prompting a shift towards sustainable alternatives.

A new generation of lubricants

In 2012, Interflon began developing a new generation of PFAS-free lubricants based on advanced MicPol technology. The goal was to enhance performance while improving sustainability, reducing mechanical friction and increasing the use of renewable resources.

“Sustainability and performance should go hand in hand. By eliminating PFAS from our lubricants and advancing our MicPol technology, we offer industries a high-performance alternative that meets global regulatory standards while minimising environmental impact.” – Frédéric Mus, CEO Interflon

The PFAS-free lubricants featuring MicPol technology are free of microplastics and nanoparticles and are compliant with global regulations such as REACH, ECHA, CLP, OSHA, TSCA, etc. Interflon lubricants with MicPol technology minimise friction, reduce energy and maintenance costs, and contribute to a more sustainable and safer working environment.
