Isolation switch lubrication
High-voltage electrical disconnectors and switches are essential components of railway applications. They must operate reliably to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the network.
Disconnectors and switches are used to isolate sections of the railway power supply system, either during planned maintenance or in the event of a fault. This allows staff to work safely on the system without the risk of electric shock.
Interflon Grease OG is an exceptionally long-lasting and transparent grease that is ideal for lubricating isolation switches. It has been tested and approved by Network Rail and MLE Morris Line Engineering, among others. Interflon Grease OG can be used to lubricate the main contact, blade tips, hinge end vacuum bottle, operating arm, and blade mounted moving contact of isolation switches. It is also widely used on other OLE equipment and by national energy grid companies (Distribution Network Operators).
