Interflon confirms compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

As part of our ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship, Interflon confirms compliance with the European Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115), in force since June 2023 and applicable from 30 December 2025 for medium and large companies, and 30 June 2026 for small and micro-enterprises.

What the regulation means

The EUDR ensures that products placed on or exported from the EU market are deforestation-free and produced in compliance with local laws.
It targets seven key commodities linked to global deforestation, cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy and wood, as well as a wide range of derived products such as leather, paper, furniture and chocolate.
The regulation is part of the EU’s strategy to combat climate change and biodiversity loss by increasing supply-chain transparency and ensuring traceable, responsible sourcing.
Under the new rules, companies must:

  • Collect and store detailed supply chain data, including geolocation of production areas
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures where needed
  • Submit a due-diligence statement confirming compliance before placing goods on the EU market
  • Ensure that products are not linked to land deforested or degraded after 31 December 2020

Why it matters for Interflon and our customers

While Interflon does not trade in the primary commodities directly covered by the EUDR, certain raw materials and derivatives used in our lubricants, greases and cleaners may fall within its extended scope.
We have therefore taken proactive steps to ensure full compliance across our supply chain:

  • All suppliers of EUDR raw materials are required to provide EUDR-compliant declarations for relevant ingredients
  • Our procurement and regulatory teams continuously review supplier documentation and verify sourcing transparency
  • Where applicable, we only use ingredients that are certified deforestation-free and produced in accordance with local environmental and labour laws

Our commitment

Interflon confirms that all applicable raw materials used in our products meet EUDR requirements and do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation.
Our customers can continue to rely on lubricants, greases and cleaners that not only improve equipment reliability but are also sourced responsibly and fully compliant with EU environmental regulations.
