Labelling machines face the challenge of adhesive residue buildup and constant exposure to liquids during labelling, affecting the speed and lifespan of components.

Challenge 1: Reduce premature wear and downtime for lubrication of chains
The result
Thanks to Interflon, the following was achieved:
- Extended lubrication intervals by 1900%, from once a day to once every 20 days.
- Reduced lubricant consumption with 92%, from 1,000 ml per month to 80 ml per month.
- Reduced lubrication time with 98% from 9 hours per month to 10 minutes per month.
- Reduced premature wear.
Challenge 2: Reduce premature wear and downtime for maintenance of support bases
The support bases in the customer's labeller required daily lubrication, leading to production stoppages. Nevertheless, premature wear still occurred.
Our solution
We recommended using Interflon Degreaser EM30+ and Interflon Food Lube.
The result
Thanks to Interflon, the following results were achieved:
- Extended lubrication intervals with 600%, from daily to weekly.
- Reduced lubricant consumption by 92%, from 6 liters per month to only 0.5 litre per month.
- Reduced premature wear of the component.
- Reduced maintenance labor, requiring 90% less lubrication time.
Challenge 3: Reduce contamination and wear of components in the heads
The grease that the customer used in the labeler’s heads caused wear on components and required a lot of relubrication, increasing labor.
Our solution
We recommended Interflon Fin Grease.

The result
Using Interflon Fin Grease, the following results were realized:
- Reduced component wear.
- Extended the lubrication interval by 50%.
- Reduced lubrication time with 70%.
- Reduced lubricant consumption with 30%.
Challenge 4: Extend the service life of the rollers and facilitate their cleaning
The label adhesive affects the rollers, which were cleaned using hazardous solvents and tools that damaged them. This resulted in frequent roller replacements.
Our solution
We recommended Interflon Degreaser EM30+.
The result
Interflon's NSF K1/K3 certified cleaner facilitates the cleaning of the rollers without prolonged downtime. The tools that damaged the rollers were no longer needed, extending the service life of the rollers and reducing replacements. This led to:
