Lubrication of Bearings
Challenge 1: Lubricate without stopping the operation
The bearings in the customer's palletizer were hard to reach. This required stopping the operation for lubrication.
Our solution
We recommended implementing automatic lubrication and applying Interflon Grease LS1/2.
The result
Thanks to Interflon, the following was achieved:
- Extended lubrication intervals by 500% from 15 days to 90 days.
- Reduced lubrication time by 60%.
- Increased production time by eliminating lubrication stops.
Challenge 2: Improve safety and lubrication of hard-to-reach lubrication points
The pallet wrapper has bearings in high and difficult-to-access places, and the lubrication points are almost imperceptible. All this caused lubrication failures.
Our solution
We recommended centralized lubrication using Interflon Grease Guns and Interflon Grease MP2/3.
The result
The installation of a centralized grease lubrication system yielded the following results:
- 100% correctly lubricated points.
- Improved safety in the plant.
- Bearing lifespan increased by 2x.
- Reduced maintenance downtime since the machine can be lubricated while in operation.
