Lubrication of Bearings
Challenge 1: Prolong lifespan of the bearings
The water used in the washing process quickly removed the grease from the bearings, causing serious operational issues. The grease used was not food grade, posing a high risk of contamination.
Our solution
We recommended applying Interflon Food Grease LT2, which is extremely resistant to water washout.
The result
Thanks to Interflon's NSF H1 grease, the following was achieved:
- Prevented lubricant washout and emulsification.
- Extended lubrication intervals with 50%.
- Reduced lubricant consumption by 30%.
- Extended the bearings' lifespan.
- Prevented contamination risk.
Challenge 2: Reduce bearing replacements
The customer was facing an issue with lubricant loss, which necessitated constant lubrication and regular replacement of the bearings.
Our solution
We recommended switching to Interflon Grease MP2/3, our multi-purpose heavy duty grease.
The result
After applying Interflon Grease MP2/3, the following was achieved:
- Elimination of lubricant loss.
- 50% reduction in bearing replacements.
- Extension of lubrication intervals by 320%, from 7 days to 30 days.
- Reduction in maintenance labor.
