PET Preform Blow Molders
PET preform blow molding machines are constantly challenged by crucial aspects such as preform loss (waste), the need to improve productivity and mold care.

Challenge 1: Reduce preform loss and improve productivity
Issues with plastic adherence of preforms to the mold were reducing the productivity of the injector. Additionally, there was a need to enhance mold mobility (opening and closing of the mold).
Our solution
We recommended Interflon Degreaser EM30+ and Interflon Food Lube.
The result
Using Interflon cleaner and lubricant, the customer achieved the following:
- Eliminated preform loss: reduced from 32,300 to 0.
- Extended lubrication intervals with 350%, from 16 hours to 72 hours.
- Reduced lubricant consumption with 77%, from 11 liters to 2.5 liters.
- Decreased lubrication time with 80%, from 11 hours per month to 2 hours per month.
Challenge 2: Remove rust from molds and extend their lifespan
We regularly see that molds are being cleaned with a highly corrosive product or a metal polish cream that is not suitable for the food industry, followed by sanding.
