Challenge 1: Reduce operating temperature
The turbine gearbox at the customer's plant operated at high temperatures, which decreased the lubricant viscosity and affected the lifespan of the seals, leading to leaks.
Our solution
We recommended Interflon Grease MP00.
The result
After applying Interflon, the following was achieved:
- 34% reduction in temperature due to lower friction.
- Reduced lubricant leaks due to better seal protection.
- Extended lubrication intervals by 300% from 8,000 hours to 32,000 hours.
- 8% reduction of energy consumption.
Challenge 2: Eliminate lubricant losses and stains on the final product
The main gearbox responsible for the machine's movement is located above the washing line. Seal failure resulted in leaks that stained the bottles with oil.
Our solution
We recommended Interflon Food Lube G460.
The result
After applying Interflon Food Lube G460, the following was achieved:
- Lubricant lifespan increase by 5x.
- Seal lifespan increased by 2x.
- 0 stains on bottles.
