Challenge: Reduce pollution and rust
Several customers experienced significant buildup of dirt and rust on depalletizer chains, requiring constant relubrication. Depending on the local situation, Interflon offers various solutions.
In one scenario, we recommended using Interflon Food Lube Aerosol, a dry film, food grade lubricating oil.
The result
After applying Interflon, the following was achieved:
- Lubricant consumption reduced by 50%
- Lubrication intervals increased by 300%, from 15 days to 60 days
- 98% reduction in labour requirements, from 144 hours per year to 2 hours per year
In another scenario we recommended installing Single Point Lubricators in combination with Interflon Food Lube G220.
The result
After implementing our solution, the following was achieved:
- Prevented chain corrosion
- Extended lubrication intervals by 1100%, from 15 days to 180 days
- Reduced lubricant consumption by 65%
